This Privacy Policy explains how RIKADA LIGHTING ("Rikada", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit rikada-led.com (the "Website") or contact us through it.
We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL") and, for visitors in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (the "GDPR").

Rikada also has branches in Saudi Arabia, Lithuania and Bulgaria. If your enquiry is handled by one of these branches, that branch may also be responsible for your data together with us.
2. What data we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- first and last name
- email address
- phone number (optional)
- your message and anything you choose to include in it
If you email or call us directly, we keep the details you share with us in that conversation.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of each request. Our server records this to deliver the Website, keep it secure and prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated form submissions).
- Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which analyses information such as your IP address, browser and interaction with the page to tell people from automated programs.
- Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the Website, such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country/city), device and how you arrived at the Website.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and we do not collect payment card details on the Website.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed, with:
- Rikada branches (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lithuania, Bulgaria), when your enquiry concerns their region
- Our website hosting and email providers, who store and deliver the Website and our emails on our behalf
- Google (reCAPTCHA, and Google Analytics if you consent), and content delivery networks that serve fonts and scripts used by the Website
- Professional advisers and authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights
Our service providers may only use your data to provide their services to us.
6. International transfers
Some of the recipients above, such as Google and our hosting provider, may store or process data outside the UAE (and, for EU visitors, outside the European Economic Area), including in the United States. Where we transfer data, we rely on the safeguards permitted by the PDPL and, where applicable, the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Contact form enquiries: for as long as needed to handle your request and any business relationship that follows, and normally no longer than 3 years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer
- Server and security logs: for a limited period, normally no longer than 90 days
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics
8. How we protect your data
The Website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We use access controls, spam protection and rate limits, and only authorised staff can view enquiries. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a breach occurs, including notifying you and the relevant authority where the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the PDPL (and the GDPR, if it applies to you), you may have the right to:
- be informed about how we process your data, and get a copy of it
- receive your data in a structured, commonly used format, or have it sent to another organisation
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
- have your data deleted when it is no longer needed or was processed unlawfully
- restrict or stop certain processing, and object to processing based on our legitimate interests or for direct marketing
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it)
To use any of these rights, email uae@rikada-led.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within the period required by law, and normally within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the competent data protection authority:
- UAE: the UAE Data Office
- Saudi Arabia: the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA)
- Lithuania: the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI)
- Bulgaria: the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP)
11. Links to other websites
The Website links to other websites and services, such as our catalogues on Google Drive and our social media pages. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
12. Children
The Website is intended for business and professional customers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Website.
